CLASS: All About Intellectual Property
In this presentation, Mr. Lebens will discuss the different types of intellectual property and how they can be used to build value in a company. Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, and images used in commerce. The four main types of intellectual property are patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
By using intellectual property to protect their innovations, companies can create barriers to entry for competitors, establish themselves as leaders in their industries, create leverage useful in business transactions, and reduce the risk for potential investors. Intellectual property can also be licensed or sold to generate revenue and increase the company's value. Overall, understanding the different types of intellectual property and how to use them can be crucial for companies looking to succeed in today's competitive business landscape.
